In other words - more or less the process which Torah study has traditionally consisted of.

Model out our understandings of reality based on their progressions, based on certain metrics, and based on novel insights yet to be discovered.

Broadly covered under the term, עבודת המוחין: intellect as a pursuit and an end in its own right. The culmination and realization of every permutation and logical eventuality.

Reframe Existence

Reframe our existence using a truth- and honesty-based foundation. A foundation for humankind to thrive with their technology.

This can have (positive) implications even beyond the realm of Torah; can answer many of the pending (or looming) AI related questions in the field right now. As the Rambam puts it: ומלאה הארץ דעה.

A Front-End for Torah, and also a Back-End

Peer Review

Consider this to be along the lines of peer review. But worlds apart in terms of robustness. Torah is air-tight and scalable - and that's we're building a framework for.

Making the scientific process scientific again

Never has a corpus followed the rules as much as the Jewish people have for centuries. And we aim to, further, explore permutations involving alternative logic systems as well. And even, eventually, alternative corpora…

This process is, at the end of the day, what everyone does in the beis midrash. Let's mimic that, take it online.

Key Differentiators

Existing Components

We aim to put the puzzle pieces together - not to reinvent the wheel. In other words, we don't aim to 'build' a novel solution, we aim to repackage and mix and match in a way not done before. That does not preclude propriety processes and IP.

Agile and Creative

Our agile team, relatively small and unsaturated domain, and focused audience (end users, enterprise research teams, and developers building on top of our products) allows us to be creative and iterate quickly.

Open Source Approach

Since we aren't offering a product to doctors or lawyers, and competing with other vendors offering that same product to them, but rather building tech for the Jewish people to all share freely, we have the leeway to, for example, release beta-stage open source products.

Win-Win Model

In our model, every application and every piece of infrastructure is a win. In other words, we don't have choose between building ground-level tech vs building a great frontend. We aim to let the dev community build on top of our models and APIs and to let us do the heavy (and expensive) lifting.

Torah is the single most organized, rule-based dataset in existence. Its also relatively small. So we have the luxury of prioritizing performance over scalability.

The Urgency of Our Mission

Why the push to make it so much faster?

Getting in on the ground floor may just save the world.

  • There are existential concerns surrounding AI, both on the technical side as well as on the human side. We come from the position that Torah can remedy those issues.
  • Our position is that the infinity which humankind finds itself on the precipice of renders all existing knowledge and realities null and moot. With the exception of Torah, which is entirely an outlier in every way.
  • Yes, we propose that Torah now has its time to shine, and that it will save the world. Read the paper at this link.

AI will get there anyway, and quite soon. But there are several reasons for our urgency:

  • If they waited to invent the internet because later AI could just code - then we'd never have reached AI. The printing press was a necessary step to reach where our world is today
  • Even when we anticipate Moshiach coming instantaneously; a dramatic transformation of the entire world in a split second - אחישנה - we still need to work toward that end and make sure that we reach there on our own right - בעיתו.
  • Take part in the inevitable! As it says in the Purim story - one can selectively abstain, but they're only missing out on their opportunity to participate and be remembered. Our leaders open-sourced the work we have to do, for this very reason.
  • Every man-hour that our world is still imperfect is an insanely large amount Further, as AI is a pretty fast horse, we wouldn't want to miss the entry point and/or watch it iterate into a negative place when we could have played a pivotal role…
Is this project doable?

We believe it is. We'll be updating this space soon with details on:

  • What can be done right now
  • Practical approach
  • We're in this together (with the rest of the world)
  • Not only does our scope deal with timely, relevant questions being explored by the world at large - its extremely novel and unique. In other words, we're positioned to apply Torah to spaces where otherwise there may exist blind spots to alternative positions.
What makes our team special?

AI belongs to the whole world. What does our specific group of guys have to offer here? What are we doing that can't be done in ChatGPT?

Are we in conflict with other schools of thought?

Not whatsoever.

  1. 1. We aim to rewrite reality, not to rewrite history. Honoring the full integrity of history is the way to get there. In ChatGPT's words, as an example:
  • "A TOE that successfully integrates classical and quantum mechanics might reveal that what we observe in the physical world is just a manifestation of deeper, abstract principles—much like the relationship between Plato’s forms and the material world.   1. While historically, and ideologically - and primarily due to simple pushback - there are often restraints when it comes to reconciling interdisciplinary concepts, it is generally proven to be doable. And the more broad our outlook, the more ideas fall into place and meld together. And the more humanity matures as a thought system overall, the more practical it is to reconcile percieved discrepancies.
  • We feel that there simply hasn't been a 'will'. Now that there has been introduced a 'way' (AI), we aim to change that!
